A how to on pain ting a portrait of a baby using any digital program or pretty much any medium….its not that different. I used maybe 4 or 5 brushes on this…sorry i cant share as they are ones I’ve got from other artists but there are plenty of generic brushes you can use. I haven’t gone into a lot of detail on using tools in the program but if anyone’s interested I can certainly do a more in depth tutorial. Cheers – Lion Art ©LionArt-MichelleWebb

Melts my heart
Artists tend to paint whats happening in their life, whether it be a subject or an emotion…it invariably ends up showing in our work. This piece is the center of my life, my gorgeous little grandbub Declan…he lights up my life in a million different ways & I adore him along with my daughter like no others. ❤ I think my anatomy rehash is helping greatly & am really happy with this piece. So watch this space as this little man will be featured in a few things I have coming up… ❤ Lion Art

Magic Man
The ability to paint digitally is magic to me….it opens my mind to new ideas & fuels my creativity! My software of choice is Corel Painter 2016, as it feels the most natural to me & with my background in fine art, using the tools & features feels cohesive. In the coming months i will begin to add tips & tutorials here, along with some of my custom brushes & papers all for Painter software. Follow me to take advantage….the first of these brushes will be posted on Monday! ❤️🦁🎨

BMP Expo
I had a great day yesterday at BMP Expo, speaking to lots of people about my art including a couple of graphic designers that were fascinated how PS & Painter can be used to emulate traditional mediums. My families business Make Your Mark Australia (promo merchandise) was also exhibiting, & as part of a monthly promotion we had a competition to win a portrait experience with myself. The winner was a lovely lady Natasa & i look forward to painting her beautiful family in b & w, which i love. The runner up received a limited edition print of my Koi-Yin Yang, & was very excited to take it home. I also presented Gary Shulman with a lim print of Aussie Sunset, this was to thank him for sponsoring me…..im really thankful as i have some great leads come from this. I spent the day talking with many people about my art, & a lot took the time to watch a video of me painting….easier to do that than bring my studio set up to the Expo! One lovely lady Alison Margaritus gave me a couple of great contacts in book publishing to follow up with & the gorgeous Zaharoula Harris -an amazing photographer & wonderful lady, discussing some potential ideas & projects for us to work on together. Looking forward to seeing where this all takes me. The other thing i got from yesterday is, there are people who’d enjoy learning my creative process & tips on painting……so with that im more determined than ever to add some of that here. I hope you all have a great week, will be back soon -❤️

Exhibit tommorrow
These a few of the paintings i have on exhibit at Melbourne Showground tommorrow, for the Business MarketPlace Trade Show. The Business MarketPlace are sponsoring me & have given me space to display my work to the variety of organisations involved. These range from corporate, book publishers, charities to sole traders, insurance & real eastate……including my families business branding & promotional products. This is a great opportunity for me to find new ways to market, sell & find display locations…..best of all, i am the only artist who will be on display & promoted through their sponsorship. So watch this space for photos & updates, have a great day -peace & love ❤️🦁🎨
How to paint digitally – The Friesian
This is a recent painting i have completed. I kept some jpgs of progress so thought it would be good as a how to feature. Nothing fancy but you can see my process, I will be adding some video tutorials when i return from my Vietnam adventure. I use Painter 2016 for most of my work, but you can use any digital paint program. If you would like the brushes I used in this piece feel free to comment & ill send them to you.
