I’m adding more to my YouTube channel each week!

– Hey guys, I’m working hard to provide videos of my process painting in both Painter 2018 & Procreate & to begin some tutorials shortly also, esp little tips for Painter. I’m aiming to start a Patreon page in the next month, as I really love sharing my art & what I’ve learnt with you all but in order to do so, I really need some sponsorship… it takes quite a bit of time preparing & editing videos, & I want this this to also be beneficial to you guys. On Patreon I will be giving my sponsors some special rewards & thank you gifts- custom brushes, artwork & other goodies I’m working on. Please follow my blog, subscribe to my YouTube channel & watch out for news on launch of Patreon….. thanks, love you all & thank you for your continued support! ❤️ Video page via menu above, has link to YouTube channel for your convenience.

Fathers Day, Birthdays, Christmas….A piece of art commissioned makes for a special gift for a loved one or friend. Engagement, wedding or birth of a new baby….no gift could be sweeter than a commissioned portrait.

My artwork is a combination of traditional skills & new age technology, contemporary & nostalgic with a twist & the opportunity to create something truly special & unique.

Call, email, or fill out contact form to discuss options & ideas…

It’s not to early to order for Christmas, the more time I have the better, I can only take a certain no to ensure you receive your artwork in time.

I have various pieces available as prints, & will be adding some beautiful bags, scarves & clothing in my shop next week….Follow me to receive notifications of this & other exciting news!

Sculpting in Painter 2017

As you guys know, I’m a firm believer in learning & studying regardless of how experienced you are. I’m currently doing form studies, particularly the human form (it’s always been the subject that I find most challenging) in between working on Fabulous Ferdi. Sculpting is the method from which we really are able to build form, so I’m working totally line & sketch free…Big brushes zoomed out with greyscale, no details (hair, clothes, Jewell’s etc) This forces me to use edges, these show the change in facial planes & provide contrast without the need of high contrasting values. I will paint this woman/girl over & over, the aim is to work on previous versions issues & see the progress from repeated study of same subject. While doing this I’ve begun developing a set of sculpting brushes for Painter 2017, however most will work with previous versions. They will be a set for both concept & portrait artists alike, tailored to produce clean edges & a couple of blenders to soften where smoother gradiation is needed. They & other sets will be available for purchase in a few months, once I’ve upgraded my site with a shop.  Happy Sculpting! ☺️IMG_7216Day 1 – Form study challenge
